Why the move-in record matters
Japan's National Consumer Affairs Center receives many inquiries every year about deposits and restoration costs for rentals. Dated photos and notes of the condition at move-in give you something concrete to check and explain with at move-out.

It is not a real-estate agency, legal advice or a damage appraisal service, it does not decide who pays which cost and it does not guarantee the return of your deposit.
